and a very Happy New Year to you all.

Am I still aloud to wish that this late in the month... hmm not so sure. Probably a bit late to be hyping the new year, now that I've pretty much broken all my resolutions. Well, I did shave off my beard. Yes it's been a tough few weeks... a self imposed ban on liquor seems to be flavour of the month, whilst I try to work out what constitutes as 'the perfect burger.' I'll keep you posted on that. Anyway, certainly today I can say a very Happy Birthday to Peeky.

Now then, let's get into the business of what's been in rotation recently. And ahead of next months Pharcyde gig in Leeds, which I am super excited about, here is a tasty little mix from Chris Read (musicofsubstance) for Delicious Vinyl in conjunction with Wax Poetics celebrating last years 20th anniversary of the originative debut: Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde and the start of their European tour.The mix is a blend of original tracks, remixes, and original sample material, as well as some instrumentals and other treats. A little piece of me

Finally managed to get this mixtape finished off before I head off for a couple of weeks in the South, nothing too fresh going on; just a little bit of fun I had whilst waiting for the gas man. 50 minutes of funk taken from the 'new downloads 3' folder on the lappy. It's a bit all over the chippy; and I really need to send myself back to Scratching 101, however my little brother has been on at me to put something up for him for a while so here you are, Gail, this one is for you pal.

 Yes. I can verify this. there are segments that you hear that last but a few seconds, but took literally hours and sometimes multiple days just getting that one blend right. Countless versions and tests, Countless songs we LOVE but couldn't include for the almighty flow and sequencing to bring you not just another DJ mix, but also a work of Art, using all our skills and love of the craft to our fullest.

I couldn't be more proud of the final product of this mix and working with The Bastid for 2 years with it has created a mix that is extremely rewarding for all of us
